Students were to design a bridge using only 100 Popsicle sticks and glue. Their bridge had to be at least three Popsicle sticks long. If they were using beam supports, they had to be no more than one Popsicle stick tall.

The goal was to have the bridge hold 5 pounds.

The students bridge held no weight.

The student's bridge held any amount of weight less than five pounds.
Distinguished

The student's bridge held five or more pounds.

How the student completed the task in class. Did the student follow directions, work with materials appropriately, and follow classroom expectations.

Student did not follow all directions for the assignment. The student was mostly off task and needed constant redirection to get back on task. Most classroom behavior expectations were not met.
Good

Student followed all directions for the assignment and work to complete the task with only minor redirection needed. Most classroom behavior expectations were met.
Distinguished

Student followed all directions for the assignment and work diligently to complete the task. Classroom behavior expectations were met.
