Good Contains a thesis/topic sentence which addresses the prompt.	Adequate Presents limited, confused and/or poorly developed thesis/topic sentence.	Unsatisfactory Contains no thesis/topic sentence or a thesis which does not address the prompt.
Interpretation	Excellent Answers are mostly correct and demonstrate excellent comprehension. Opinions are always fully justified.	Good Answers are often correct and demonstrate good comprehension. Opinions are adequately justified.	Adequate Answers are occasionally correct and demonstrate an incomplete comprehension of the topic. Opinions are sometimes justified.	Unsatisfactory Answers do not reflect accurate comprehension of the topic(s). Opinions are unjustified.
Detail	Excellent Answers are mostly complete, extensive, and include many details.	Good Answers are usually complete and include several details.	Adequate Answers contain some details.	Unsatisfactory Answers lack the required detail or are incomplete.
