Details	Poor Student displays one to two details about a real battle from the American Revolution.	Fair Student displays three or four details about a real battle from the American Revolution.	Good Student displays five or six details about a real battle from the American Revolution.	Excellent Student displays seven or more details about a real battle from the American Revolution.
Research and Understanding	Poor Student did inadequate research. Student does not understand their own project.	Fair Student did some research but most information is not in their words. Student shows little understanding of their project.	Good Student did a lot of research and it is presented in their own words. Student shows a clear understanding of their project.	Excellent Student did significant research and it is entirely in their own words. Student demonstrates a deep understanding of their project.
Visuals	Poor Lack of effort is evident, not visually appealing. Product is not relevant to project.	Fair Student put some effort visuals, they are slightly appealing. The product is slightly relevant to the project.	Good Effort is evident in a visually appealing product that does not detract from the project.	Excellent The student went above and beyond to create a very visually appealing product that enhances the project.
Creativity	Poor Project uses only one art material.	Fair Project uses at least two different art materials.	Good Project uses at least three different art materials.	Excellent Project uses at least four different art materials (such as paper, plastic soldiers, clay, and paint etc.)
