Communication of ideas	Poor Student list activities in chronological order.	Fair Student relays in chronological order. The student is able to use an introduction and conclusion.	Good Student is able to communicate the activities in written form, using an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion.
Spelling and Punctuation	Poor Student has numerous spelling and punctuation errors that interrupt the flow of the paper. Error rate exceeds 50%	Fair Student has some spelling and punctuation errors. Error rate is between 15% and 25%.	Good Student has minimal to no spelling and punctuation errors. Error rate is 5% or less.
Content	Poor Student relays the events of the break with minimal individuality. The student does not make the retelling unique to the student's experiences. He/she used hardly any multi-syllable adjectives, vivid verbs, temporal words, and dialogue.	Fair Student is able to make personal observations about events during the break and recounts the events in a unique manner. He/she used few multi-syllable adjectives, vivid verbs, temporal words, and dialogue.	Good Student's retelling of the events occuring during the break are unique to the student and are retold in a manner that reflects the student's individuality. He/she used multi-syllable adjectives, vivid verbs, temporal words, and dialogue.
