Cosmetology Perming and Assessment 
Students will section and place perm rods into one section of the head. Students will be assessed on the sub sections, control of rod and placement.

Perm Rods

Poor

Student needed a high level of supervision to complete the perm rod section. The majority of rods & bands are not parellel with the base of the head and most of the hair is very loose or off the rods.
Fair

Student needed several reminders to complete the perm rod section. Three rods & bands are not parellel with the base of the head and some of the hair is loose or off the rods.
Good

Student needed a few reminders to complete the perm rod section. All but 1 or 2 rods & bands are parellel with the base of the head and hair is very tightly wrapped on most of the rods.
Excellent

Student was able to listen to directions to complete the perm rod section independently. All rods & bands are parellel with the base of the head and band is placed 1/16 of an inch from scalp & center of rod. Bands are untwisted.

Student is unable to use more than one tool at a time. Continually sets tools down. Stuggles to manipulate wraps and rods when winding hair.
