Rhythm Duration and Tempo	Below Standard Student rarely plays rhythms correctly, with no decernable beat and excessive fumbling.	Meets Basic Standard Student occasionally plays rhythms correctly, with an uneven beat and considerable fumbling	Meets Proficiency Student usually plays rhythms correctly. Usually maintains a steady beat.	Exceeds Proficiency Student strikes all of the keys correctly.
Correct Notes Accuracy and Expression	Below Standard Student rarely plays correct keys, with much fumbling.	Meets Basic Standard Student occasionally plays correct keys, with some fumbling.	Meets Proficiency Student usually plays correct keys, with very little fumbling.	Exceeds Proficiency Student strokes all keys correctly, with no fumbling.
