General Essay Rubric General Essay Rubric The purpose of this rubric is to allow the younger student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. Sentence Structure	Excellent Sentences are of an appropriate length, make sense, and is free of subject/verb disagreements. There are no run on sentences<BR> **No 3 word sentences.	Good Sentences are of an appropriate length, mostly make sense, but there are some subject/verb disagreements.	Fair Essay contains many errors which are distracting to the reader, many sentences are run-ons.	Make Corrections - Re-do Essay is unreadable due to too many errors. <BR> Re-Do.
