Halloween Dance Halloween Dance Contest Students will choose from three Halloween themed songs and create and perform a dance using at least four dance steps. Dance steps should feature creative Halloween moves and keep to the beat and rhythm of the song. Students will repeat the dance steps a second time. Knowledge of Dancesteps and Moves	Unsatisfactory Remembers a few of the steps/ movements and tries, but looks lost and out of sync with others. Unprepared.	Needs Improvement Demonstrates some knowledge of dancesteps and moves, but unsure of some movements makes some errors.	Good Demonstrates good knowledge of dancestpes and moves. Dance steps feature Halloween moves. Few errors.	Excellent Demonstrates excellent knowledge of all the dance steps and Halloween moves and performs them well.
Group Performance Quality	Unsatisfactory The dancers are not very focused, concentrated or committed to performance (talking, giggling, looking around).	Needs Improvement Dancers are generally focused. Sometimes distracted and insecure.	Good Dancers perform with minimal distractions. They look fairly confident and prepared.	Excellent Dancers perform with full confidence. They perform with enthusiasm.
Rhythm/Tempo	Unsatisfactory Attempts to keep rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music.	Needs Improvement Shows basic understanding of tempo and beat, but falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.
