Engineering Design Process

Schematic Design sketch	Poor No design Sketch. No evidence was planned out. You did not plan what you were going to build nor plan on what materials to use in the building.	Fair Sketch is incomplete. Some evidence of a plan. There was some thought to materials/building, but not really thought out. Sketch has few parts labelled with part names or measurements. Little evidence of planning.	Good Sketch is almost complete and has most parts labeled. Picture is not entirely clear what you intend to build. Good evidence of planning done. Sketch has been mostly labelled. Materials were listed and thought out, but the plan wasn't quite complete.	Excellent Great schematic design sketch presenting evidence of the car you intend to make. Your sketch shows: a clear picture of the intended design labels for the car parts labels of intended measurements All materials were listed and well thought out. I can really see what you are going to be building.
Craftmanship & design	Poor Your design lacked materials that were needed. It was really hard for me to tell what you built or were building.	Fair Some materials were used correctly. Car is not useable.	Good Good use of the materials and plan. The car was neat and well put together, but there were parts that weren't well made.	Excellent Great use of materials! You maximized your use of materials and created a great rubber band car. It was neat, nice to look at and functioned well.

Time Management	Poor Did not use time well. Time was wasted during the plan, design and construction phase of engineering. Had to be reminded several times to stay on task.	Fair Sometimes used time well. There were times when you got off task during the plan, design and construction phase of engineering and had to be redirected a few times.	Good Good use of time, there were a few times when you got off task, but for the majority of the task time was well spent and you didn't have to be redirected that much at all.	Excellent Great use of time. You stayed on task during each phase of the process, worked flawlessly and got the job done. You never had to be redirected.
