Golf: 1/4 Swing Golf: 1/4 Swing Student will demonstrate the proper grip, set up, and swing for 1/4 swing. Rubric Code: WX5BWBX By ddeandrea Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Physical Ed., Fitness Type: Assessment Grade Levels: 9-12

Half Swing
	Unacceptable 0 pts	Poor 2 pts	Fair 3 pts	Good 4 pts
Grip- Interlock or Baseball	Unacceptable Student makes no attempt to grip club correctly	Poor Student has the improper grip. Can identify/show one or both grips.	Fair Students grip is slightly off.	Good Students grip is correct.
Set Up	Unacceptable Student makes no attempt to set up correctly	Poor Student has poor posture and knee bend.	Fair Students posture and knee bend is slightly to straight or excessive.	Good Student has the proper posture and knee bend.
Ball Position	Unacceptable Student makes no attempt to use proper ball position	Poor Student puts the ball to far forward or to far back.	Fair Students ball position is slightly off.	Good Students ball position is inside the heel of the lead foot to the middle of the stance.
1/4 Swing	Unacceptable Student does not attempt to swing and has no rhythm.	Poor Student brings the club back way off line and rhythm is very erratic. Is too high or low in the backswing and follow through. Concept- 4:30/7:30	Fair Student brings the club back (4:30) and through slightly off line (7:30) and rhythm is off speed.	Good Student brings the club straight back (4:30) and follows through to (7:30) with a nice rhythm.
