Clarity	Poor All sentences were awkward and incomprehensible.	Fair Sentences were awkward and incomprehensible to understand at times.	Good Sentences were awkward at times but always understandable.	Excellent Sentences were clear and comprehensible.
Pronunciation	Poor Pronunciation was incomprehensible.	Fair Pronunciation made understanding difficult.	Good Pronunciation was understandable with some error.	Excellent Pronunciation was like a native speaker.
Intonation	Poor Said words without regard to to punctuation or feeling.	Fair Sentences are defined, but no other distinction. (i.e. statements and questions are the same)	Good Sentences have appropriate intonation, some extra emphasis.	Excellent Narration with extra feeling or emphasis in appropriate places.
Accuracy	Poor Didn't memorize story.	Fair Made many mistakes - forgotten words/sentences, wrong tenses, etc.	Good Made few mistakes, but story was still accurate.	Excellent Made no mistakes - forgotten words, wrong tenses, etc.
