Group Presentation for PBL 
Each group will present a proposal for a problem they identified as a group at the community garden. You will be graded as a team and as individuals. Learning outcomes: --Develop skills in collaborative research --Define ways to apply their individual skills and thought process to the development of a culturally relevant solution --Define ways to create sustainable projects --Learn to present their work in a convincing and engaging manner as individuals and as a group --

The group demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by explaining findings with elaboration.
Fair

The group is at ease and is able to explain most findings with elaboration.

The group does not display knowledge of the content and is not able to explain and elaborate on findings.
Teamwork

Good

It is evident that students worked together on the problem scenario. Each person is well prepared to present their part of the findings.
Fair

Some students exhibit greater responsibility than others.

Students are playful or arguing amongst each other.
Presentation

Good

Each group member makes eye contact with their audience and speaks in an audible and convincing voice. Each member exhibits knowledge of their given area. If using visuals the group member positions the body out of the way so the audience can see the images. Members are overall enthusiastic about his or her work.
Fair

Group members do not use distracting hand gestures or other body language. They speak loud enough to be heard, but lack enthusiasm.
Poor

Group members read his or her part and do not look up to engage his or her audience. They speak too low to be heard or too fast to keep up with.
Organization

Good

The group members each have a clear role or part in the presentation. The material presented flows well and is clearly sequenced in a way the audience can follow. The group concludes the presentation with an vitiation to questions.
Fair

Transitions between speakers or topics are disruptive and exhibit lack of thought and preparation.
Group does not offer concluding thoughts.
Poor

The presentation lacks reasoning and it is evident that one or more group members were unprepared.
Students end their presentation abruptly.
Mechanics

Good

Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Fair

Presentation has no more than 2 misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Poor

Presentation has 3 or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.
