Student has a restricted range of motion that will cause only mild discomfort playing certain instruments.

Student has no restriction on their range of motion.
Teeth Placement and Shape of Mouth

Poor

Student's teeth placement and shape of mouth will severely interfere with the development of a characteristic sound.
Fair

Student's teeth placement and shape of mouth will moderately interfere with the development of a characteristic sound.
Good

Student's teeth placement and shape of mouth will mildly interfere with the development of a characteristic sound.
Excellent

Either student's teeth placement or shape of mouth (but not both) will mildly interfere with the development of a characteristic sound.
Superior

Student's teeth placement and shape of mouth will have no interference upon development of a characteristic sound.
Air Speed and Direction

Poor

Student is unable to control their air speed and direction.

Student is able to control their air speed and direction with a moderate to severe degree of difficulty.
