Venn Diagram Rubric
	Good 10 pts	Fair 7 pts	Poor 2 pts
Statement Placements	Good All statements noting similarities are placed in the center circle and all statements that note differences are placed in the correct outer circle.	Fair Most statements are placed in the correct circle, but student mixed up a few statements.	Poor Few statements are placed in the correct circle.
Text support Uses the text to support the comparison statements.	Good All statements are supported by the text.	Fair Most statements are supported by the text.	Poor Few or none of the statements are supported by the text.
Movie Support Uses the movie to support the comparison statements.	Good All statements are supported by the movie and can be justified.	Fair Most statements are supported by the movie and can be justified.	Poor Few or none of the statements are supported by the movie and can not be justified.
Number of quality statements	Good Student is able to make 15 or more related comparison statements in each circle.	Fair Student is able to make ten related comparison statements in each circle.	Poor Student makes less than ten related comparison statements in each circle.
Illustrations Illustrations from book and movie.	Good Poster includes two colored illustrations from the book and two illustrations from the movie. All is colored with no white showing.	Fair Poster includes one colored illustration from the book and one illustration from the movie. There is a small portion of white showing.	Poor Poster includes less then two illustrations that are somewhat or not colored. Several areas of the poster are white.
Poster Presentation	Good Poster is neat, clean, pleasing to the eye. A lot of time adn effort is shown in the planning and design of the poster	Fair Poster is fairly neat, clean, and is fine to look at. Student could have put more effort and time into the poster.	Poor Poster is not neat, clean or pleasing to look at. Student shows no effort in planning or design of the poster.
