Nature	Do Over Student did not clearly write about Nature.	Fair Student wrote about Nature, but did not put too much thought into it.	Good Student expressed Nature-like images in the poem
Syllables	Do Over Student did not seem to count syllables. Student did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Fair Student had some lines correct, but the entire poem did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Good Student's poem had the syllable pattern 5-7-5.
Neatness	Do Over Student penmanship was careless and sloppy	Fair Student penmanship is in need of improvement	Good Student wrote legibly and neatly
