Class Discussion	Good -Speaks up in class discussion often -Contributes ideas often -Gives opinions often -Raises hand often and waits to be called on	Fair -Sometimes speaks up in class discussion -Sometimes contributes ideas to discussion -Sometimes give opinions -Raises hand most the time, but speaks out of turn every once in a while.	Poor -Remains quiet in discussion -Does not contribute ideas -Does not offer opinions -Never raises hand to give answer -Speaks out of turn often
Treatment of Others in Discussion	Good -Always listens when others are speaking and does not talk -Always pays attention when a classmate is talking	Fair -Sometimes listens when others are speaking and makes a few comments without being called on -Sometimes pays attention, but may be caught looking somewhere else or not listening	Poor -Never pays attention to when others are talking -Talks when other person is talking
Discussion Comments	Good -Always raises hand to give comment to someone else's answer -Always makes respectful comments	Fair -Sometimes raises hand to give comment, but not always -Makes mostly respectful comments -Respects some	Poor -Does not raise hand to give comment -Makes hurtful or not nice comments to other classmates in discussions -Does not respect other opinions
