Add/Subtract the Mixed Fraction	Novice The student does not know how to correctly add or subtract the fractions without assistance.	Apprenteice With some assistance the student somewhat understands how to add and subtract fractions with like denominators.	Intern With minimal assistance the student somewhat understands how to add or subtract fractions with like denominators.	Expert The student fully understands how to add the new numerators together, while the denominator stays the same, as well as adding the whole numbers.
Converting Fractions	Novice The student does not know how to correctly convert the fraction without assistance	Apprenteice With some assistance the student may somewhat understand how to conver the fraction from improper to mixed.	Intern With minimal assistance the student is able to convert the fraction from improper to mixed.	Expert The student fully understands how to convert the fraction from mixed to improper and could teach it to another student.
