Ballad Oral Presentation The student is required to find an example of a Ballad that has not been discussed in class. The student will analyze the Ballad like we did in class. He or she must analyze the rhyme scheme, figurative language, the structure, and the point of view. The student will create an oral presentation to present their findings to the class. This can be done using any type of format such as PowerPoint, or they can create a graphic organizer. Rhyme Scheme	Poor The student did not include/find any information in the presentation on the rhyme scheme, nor did they demonstrate it.	Fair The student provided the rhyme scheme, but did not provide examples to demonstrate it.	Good The student provided the rhyme scheme of the ballad, and provided examples to demonstrate it.
Figurative Language	Poor The student did not provide any examples of figurative language in the presentation.	Fair The student did not provide different types of figurative language, and only provided minimal examples of one or two types, (e.g. just idiom and simile)	Good The student provided plenty of examples of figurative language (e.g. alliteration, idiom, hyberbole, metaphor, personification, etc.)
Point of View	Poor The student did not identify the Point of View of their poem nor examples to demonstrate it.	Fair The student provided the Point of View, but did not provide examples to demonstrate it.	Good The student provided the Point of View, and provided plenty of examples to demonstrate it.
