The facts are primarily correct.	Grade level The article contains all 5 W's: who, what, where, when, and why/how. The facts are complete and correct.	Excellent The article provides information on all five W's with descriptive language.
Communication	Developing The article is more like a short story and not journalistic- missing a beginning, middle, and/or end. Supporting details are not provided.	Getting there The article contains a lead but it is not interesting and/or has simple supporting details(2) in the a beginning, middle, and/or end.	Grade level The article contains an interesting/exciting lead using some relevant supporting details in the . beginning, middle, and/or end. The article ends abruptly.	Excellent The article begins with an exciting lead, followed by specific and relevant supporting details in the beginning, middle, and end. The article does not end abruptly.
