Student has a grasp on correct grammar allowing the sentences to make sense even if grammar isn't 100% correct.

Student tends to use one sentence length and does not use varying language.

Can see an awkward attempt at verying sentence length and language.

Can see a clear variance of length and language that makes sense to the reader.
