Student is able to tell whether a number is greater than through oral language & written language. Also, the student is able to explain why a number is greater than another number.
Good

Student is able to decipher whether a number is greater than through either oral language/written language. Student consistently uses the correct 'sign' towards the greater than number.
Developing

Student understands the concept of greater than. However the student struggles with deciphering which number is greater than as well as being able to correctly angle the sign (<,>) towards the greater than number. The student needs individual assistance for each problem he or she attempts.
Poor

Student is unable to identify which number is greater than another number neither orally or visually.
Less Than

Exceptional

Student is able to tell whether a number is less than through pictures, oral language & written language. Also, the student is able to explain why a number is less than another number.
Good
