Chord Knowledge	Excellent Plays every chord correctly with excellent finger positions.	Good Plays almost all of the chords correctly with good finger positions.	Fair Plays more than half of the chords correctly with adequate finger positions.	Poor Plays some of the chords correctly.
Strumming / Sound	Excellent All the strings in all the chords ring fully every time.	Good All the strings in most of the chords usually ring fully.	Fair Some of the strings in the chords do not sound due to poor finger position.	Poor Most of the strings in a chord do not sound due to poor finger position.
Tempo / Rhythm	Excellent Plays all of the selection with steady tempo. Knows exactly when to change chords.	Good Plays almost all of the selection with steady tempo. Occasional loss of counting necessary for chord changes.	Fair Plays more than half of the selection with adequate tempo. Often lacks counting necessary for chord changes.	Poor Plays little of the selection with adequate tempo. Chord changes rarely at correct times.
Effort	Excellent Student effort (rehearsal and performance) is excellent.	Good Student effort (rehearsal and performance) is good.	Fair Student effort (rehearsal and performance) is fair.	Poor Student effort (rehearsal and performance) is poor.
