Geometric Fantasy Land Geometry Story Book Students created a design using squares, triangles, pentagons hexagons and/or rectangles. In the story, they had to include rays and line segments in their design. They then had to color the design using only 3 colors. Geometry World My students are going to create a story using the terms and definitions of the lesson in our Geometry unit. They are to use the terms that they do not know or are having a difficult time in comprehending. They are to have main characters, a plot or problem, and a solution or conclusion. They are to make this colorful and have pictures. They are going to relate the terms and definitions together in a story.

Story features The story should have fantastical elements to describe their design. The use of geometric shapes should be included in their stories.	Excellent The story has fantastical elements included in their description. They incorporated their geometric shapes in their story.	Good The story has fantastical elements included in their description. They mention some geometric shapes, however they neglect to mention the geometric shapes in a fantastical way.	Fair The design is described in detail, however, they do not include fantastical elements intertwined in their story.	Poor The story is written without any reference to geometric shapes or fantastical elements.
Project The design should be neat, organized, and have the shapes that are listed in the task. They adhere to the use of 3 colors, rulers, and using only the shapes that are specified in the task. They should have rays and line segments indicated by the use of arrows and points.	Excellent The design is neat and organized and the use of shapes and a ruler are obvious. The use of line segments and rays are evident in the design.	Good The design is neat and organized. The ruler is used most of the time. There are some shapes that were not part of the task. Students may have used line segments or rays.	Fair The design is organized, however the design needs to be neater. The ruler is used sometimes. There are shapes used that are not part of the task.
