Geometric Fantasy Land 
Students created a design using squares, triangles, pentagons hexagons and/or rectangles. In the story, they had to include rays and line segments in their design. They then had to color the design using only 3 colors. They then wrote a fantasy story centered around the world of geometric shapes.

My students are going to create a story using the terms and definitions of the lesson in our Geometry unit. They are to use the terms that they do not know or are having a difficult time in comprehending. They are to have main characters, a plot or problem, and a solution or conclusion. They are to make this colorful and have pictures. They are going to relate the terms and definitions together in a story.

The story should have fantastical elements to describe their design. The use of geometric shapes should be included in their stories.

The story has fantastical elements included in their description. They incorporated their geometric shapes in their story.

The story has fantastical elements included in their description. They mention some geometric shapes, however they neglect to mention the geometric shapes in a fantastical way.

The design is described in detail, however, they do not include fantastical elements intertwined in their story.
