2. summary	Poor Student produced text which did not cover a clear beginning, middle, and end.	Fair Student produced a summary with little description and a vague beginning, middle, and end.	Average Student produced a summary with a clear beginning, middle, and end.	Very Good Student produced a summary with adequate description and a clear beginning, middle, and end.	Excellent Student produced a vividly described summary with a clear beginning, middle, and end.
3. characters	Poor Student failed to include a listing of the characters.	Fair Student listed most of the characters in the story.	Average Students listed all the main characters in the story.
