Inner Circle	Exceeding Inner Circle is complete: clearly Names what is being described with a word/and or a picture..	Accomplished Inner circle names what is being described with a word/and or picture.	Developing Inner circle contains a word/image that is similar to what is being described.	Undeveloped Inner Circle does not contain Name and title in pictures, or in words.
Outer Circle	Exceeding Contains 3, or more statements/words, and/or pictures that clearly describe.	Accomplished Contains 2 statements/words, and/or pictures that clearly describe.	Developing Contains 1 statements/word, and/or picture that clearly describe.	Undeveloped Outer circle contains NO statements/word, and/or picture that clearly describe.
Frame	Exceeding Title is at the top of the frame.	Accomplished Title is on the thinking map. Names of three or more people who are important to their academic success.	Developing Title is on the page, but not in/on the frame. Names of two people who are important to their academic success.	Undeveloped No title is present
Writing	Exceeding The descriptions are rewritten in complete sentences. Subject and predicate are clearly understood and the punctuation/capitalization is correct. Complex sentence structure is evident.	Accomplished The descriptions connect to what is being described. Subject and predicate evident, punctuation, and capitalization are present.	Developing The description is weak, incomplete sentence, and lack punctuation/and or capitalization.	Undeveloped Lack descriptive sentences, punctuation/capitalization.
Organization	Exceeding Circle Map is organized and spaced appropriately so all the information fits.	Accomplished Circle Map is mostly organized and shows understanding.	Developing Circle map needs to be redrawn to accommodate the information.	Undeveloped Understanding the organization of the circle map is not understood.
