Grammar	Needs Improvement Student had difficulty answering questions and communicating their ideas. Responses had many grammar mistakes.Grammar topics may have been mistakenly used.	Satisfactory Student was able to reply to the assigned questions adequately but often displayed inconsistencies with their sentence structure and adjective order.	Good Student was able to answer questions and express their ideas adequately; however, there were problems with conjugation of verbs in present simple, adjective order, or pronoun selection.	Excellent Student was able to answer questions and express their ideas with ease using a proper sentence structure and making minor mistakes.
Pronunciation	Needs Improvement Student was difficult to understand and unclear in pronunciation. Sounds of many words were not appropriate.	Satisfactory Student was slightly unclear with pronunciation at times,but managed to get their point across.	Good Pronunciation was good and did not interfere with communication	Excellent Pronunciation was very clear and easy to understand.
Vocabulary	Needs Improvement Student had not enough vocabulary words to express their ideas properly, which hindered them in responding.	Satisfactory Student was able to use appropriate vocabulary words but was lacking variety, making them repetitive.	Good Student utilized the words learned in class in an accurate manner for the situation given.	Excellent Student made use of a varied range of vocabulary words learned in class.
Fluency	Needs Improvement Student was either quiet or exceedingly dubitative in speaking. Speech was extremely slow or stumbling, except for short or memorized expressions. Major hesitation was noticeable.	Satisfactory Speech was slow and often hesitant and irregular. Sentences may have been left uncompleted, but the student was able to continue. Pet words/phrases might have been identified.	Good Speech was mostly smooth but with some hesitation and unevenness caused primarily by reiterating ideas and/or using some pet words/phrases.	Excellent Speech was mostly effortless and smooth. Student spoke with a good pace.
