Beginning (BE)
- Students makes no eye contact.
-Student is always looking at the sheet.
Progressing (PR)
- Student makes little eye contact.
- Student's eyes are on paper most of the time
Meeting (ME)
- Student looks at the audience during MOST of the presentation.
- Student refers to sheet only a few times.
Established (ET)
- Student is looking at the audience during the entire presentation
- Student does not look at paper during presentation
Voice
Beginning (BE)
-Student is very unclear and hard to understand
-Student is extremely hard to hear- his or her voice is far too quiet.
Progressing (PR)
- voice is either too low and quiet or too high and loud. Others are still able to hear student
- Voice is not very clear (mumbles, etc.)
Meeting (ME)
- Student tone is good MOST of the presentation. Everyone can hear presenter.
- Voice is mostly clear and understandable.
Established (ET)
- Student tone is excellent. Voice is projected evenly. All students can hear presenter
- Voice is extremely clear and easy to understand.
Knowledge/Understanding
Beginning (BE)
- Student cannot identify what makes his or her group a community.
- Student refers to sheet a lot for assistance with presentation.
- Student shows little understanding of communities
Progressing (PR)
-Student shows some understanding of what makes his or her group a community.
- Student appears to need assistance from the sheet most of the time.
Meeting (ME)
-Student understands what makes his or her group a community.
- Student understands why a group is important in a larger community.
-Student only refers to sheet a few times as a reminder
Established (ET)
- Student shows a great understanding about a community.
- Student can clearly identify why his or her's group is important to a larger community.
-Student does not need to refer to sheet
