	Unsatisfactory 1 pts	Developing 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Attitude	Unsatisfactory Demonstrates a negative attitude and appears uninterested.	Developing Shows somewhat of a good attitude but doesn't appear to be interested.	Proficient Demonstrates a good attitude throughout most of the dance.	Excellent Demonstrates a positive attitude throughout entire dance.
Effort/Energy	Unsatisfactory The dancer is not very focused, concentrated or committed during the dance.	Developing The dancer is generally focused, but only some attempt made to commit to the dance.	Proficient The dancer shows a good deal of effort and takes the dance with energy and commitment.	Excellent The dancer shows great effort and energy throughout entire dance.
Knowledge of Choreography	Unsatisfactory Remembers a few of the steps/ movements and tries, but looks lost and out of sync.	Developing Demonstrates some knowledge of choreography, but unsure of some movements.	Proficient Demonstrates good knowledge of choreography. Few errors, however it does not interfere with performance.	Excellent Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the choreography and does it well.
Performance Skills	Unsatisfactory The dancer is not very focused on making eye contact, concentrated or committed to performance.	Developing The dancer is generally focused, but only some attempt made to grab attention of the judges with eye contact and good facial expression.	Proficient The dancer communicates with audience/judges through eye contact and facial and body expression. Is able to engage the judges.	Excellent The dancer draws the judge in to want to watch them and is able to engage the audience completely through their performance. A true joy to watch!
