Design Clarity	Excellent Design tools are used effectively and has strong impact on the total design.	Good Design tools are used and generally have an impact on the project.	Fair Most design tools are focused on the product of the design project, but could have been used more effectively.	Poor Design tools fail to convey the meaning of the design project and there is a lack of understanding demonstrated by poor sizing or placement.
Design Originality	Excellent The design project has an exceptional degree of student creativity in their creation and/or display.	Good The design project reflects student creativity in their creation and/or display	Fair The design is based on the designs or ideas of others and doesn't demonstrate original ideas	Poor Design does not demonstrate any original thought or creativity
Design Attractiveness	Excellent The design project is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout, neatness, etc.	Good The design project is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness and demonstrate an understanding of the use of design tools.	Fair The design project is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit disorganized and does not demonstrate a clear understanding of layout: dominance, size,etc	Poor The design project is distractingly cluttered or devoid of necessary elements and very poorly designed. It is not attractive.
Design Viability	Excellent Design has practical use in the real world and can be printed on the 3-D printer.	Good Design has some practical use in the real world and may be printed on the 3-D printer with modifications.	Fair Design has limited practical use in the real world and may be printed on the 3-D printer with major modifications.	Poor No practical application.
