Pattern Fish Draw the outline of a fish in pencil. Draw my name in uppercase letters inside the fish. Trace my pencil lines with thick marker in a dark color. Fill the negative space with line and pattern designs using thin marker.

Fish Outline	Excels The outline fills the space well. There is very little empty space.	Satisfactory The outline mostly fills the space. Some empty space could have been used for design.	Needs Improvement The outline does not fill the space well. Empty space could have been used more wisely.
Name Design	Excels Uppercase letters are drawn well to stretch from the top to the bottom of the outline.	Satisfactory Uppercase letters are drawn somewhat well to stretch from the top to the bottom of the outline. There is some space between letters on top or bottom.	Needs Improvement Uppercase letters are not drawn well to stretch from the top to the bottom of the outline. Letters appear to be floating with a lot of space between top and bottom.
Tracing/Coloring Technique	Excels All pencil lines are traced well with a dark color marker. Very little or no pencil lines are showing.	Satisfactory Most pencil lines are traced well with a dark color marker. Some pencil is showing.	Needs Improvement Several pencil lines are not traced well and pencil is showing throughout the artwork.
