Literary Analysis Essay Rubric 
After reading several short stories by Mark Twain write a literary analysis describing how Twain uses satire to speak to societies need to look at themselves and their follies and foibles in the hope of making an improvement in the foolishness and corruption of society. Support the understanding of satire with references to the texts. Your writing should also include elaboration that describes in what manner these ideas can be seen in modern conceptions of the American life.
