Science Portfolio Science Portfolio This is an assessment of a science portfolio that students will have created over the entire semester. Each individual assignment will have already been marked so this is an assessment of the portfolio as a whole. Both the teacher and the student will mark the portfolio according to this rubric. Portfolio Content	One Star I am missing 5 or more journal pages	Two Stars I am missing 3-4 journal pages	Three Stars I am missing 1-2 journal pages	Four Stars My journal has all journal pages!
Handwriting	One Star My handwriting is sloppy and would be hard for a stranger to read.	Two Stars My handwriting is a little sloppy and it would take someone a while to figure out what it says.	Three Stars Overall my handwriting is neat and easy to read.	Four Stars My handwriting is excellent. Anyone can easily read what I have written.
Creativity	One Star I did not try to be very creative with my material; I did not make good use of color and form.	Two Stars I sort of tried to be creative with my material. I made an attempt to use SOME color and form.	Three Stars I made a good effort to be creative with my material. I tried to use a new technique or a newly learned technique.	Four Stars I was very creative with my material. I tried to use a new technique, I took my time to carefully create my journal pages.
Self reflection	One Star This is not my best work. I rushed through the assignment only to get it done. I did not make good use of my time. I know I am capable of creating better work.	Two Stars This is just my "okay" work. I sort of cared about the assignment. I kind of made good use of my time. There are parts of my work I know I am capable of creating better work.	Three Stars This is really good work. I focused on the assignment and used my time wisely. Generally, I am happy with my work.	Four Stars This is my absolute best work! I was very focused on the assignment and used my time responsibly. I'm very proud of my work!
