Ensemble Final - Research Paper 
Students will research a composer/arranger who wrote one of our concert pieces performed this year. The body of the paper must include key points in the composer's life such as other major works, honors/awards, where they studied and worked, what they are working on currently, etc. Must be written in MLA format, 12 point font, double spaced, and 2 pages in length as well as a bibliography page. Paper is worth 75%. The other 25% will come from reflection survey completed during scheduled exam.

The student summarizes the major events in the composers' life with a summary statement or paragraph.

The student brings the reader to a conclusion by summarizing the key events in the composers' life, and relating these events to the musical accomplishments.

The conclusion not only transitions well, summarizing the contributions of the composer, but also commenting on what this composer is best known for in today's musical world.
Excellent

This conclusion will contain all previously stated aspects, as well as containing no spelling and grammatical errors.
