Spanish Oral Story Presentation Spanish Oral Exam Present a well known children's story. Use the preterite and imperfect effectively. Demonstrate good pronunciation of the preterite verbs. Fluency 5 pts natural flow of presenting	Excellent Student showed all the qualities of someone who has great competence using beginning Spanish. Student was able to thoroughly develop response to question asked.	Good Fairly competent conversation (perhaps a few pauses) and reasonable attempt at answering all of the questions asked.	Fair Student was able to respond to some of the questions but answered appeared forced or memorized. Many long pauses.	Unsatisfactory Little or no response to any of the material presented. Student exhibited virtually no understanding of questions.
Grammar 5 pts	Excellent No grammar errors displayed. Showed excellent control of verbs and grammar used in this course.	Good Used most of the grammar as taught in class but made a few minor errors.	Fair Could derive meaning from responses, but with several grammatical errors.	Unsatisfactory Virtually no grammar skills displayed
Vocabulary 4 pts	Excellent Excellent use of vocabulary as studied in class. Perhaps used additional vocabulary.	Good Used most of the vocabulary taught in class with a few minor errors.	Fair Limited vocabulary hampered overall ability to answer some questions. Could however derive meaning from responses.	Unsatisfactory Little or none of the vocabulary covered in class was used.

Good Student read the story with ease and made it interesting for the listener giving life to the story they were presenting.	Fair Student conveyed a story but with little feeling or awareness of the audience.	Unsatisfactory Student read story robotically.
