Pictures	Beginning to Develop Very little effort made in presentation. Picture is messy and sloppy. Picture not colored.	Approaching Expectations Student put some effort into finding a picture or drawing.	Meeting Expectations Students put a lot of effort in their picture/drawing. The picture/drawing reflects clearly the astronomer they are representing.	Exceeding Expectations Student drew a very detailed picture of the astronomer and the inventions/discovery. The scene is creative and attractive. The scene is colored very nicely. Evidence of imagination and effort clear.
The explanation	Beginning to Develop Sentences contain many errors or there is no explanation at all. Student shows minimal effort: one or two words/no sentences	Approaching Expectations Sentences contain some grammatical errors, and it mostly gives the information.	Meeting Expectations Sentences contain very few errors and gives accurate information.	Exceeding Expectations Sentences contain little or no errors and thoroughly describes the astronomer and his contribution to science.
