This rubric is designed for a Spanish 1 or Span 2 video presentation in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from a chaper from their text.Their video must have two parts: En Contexto in which they present the important vocabulary. En Vivo in which they present a dialogue demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary and grammar points covered in the chapter in addition to any previous knowledge they have from Spanish 1 or 2. Students are being graded both individually and as a group. The skit must be videotaped and either handed to the teacher in DVD format, on a flash / thumb drive or posted on YouTube by May 8th.

Student presented a below average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines multiple times. Student's use of note-cards for lines was obvious. It appeared student did not understand what he/she was saying.

Student presented an average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines more than 3 times. Student had to use note-cards for lines often. Student's intonation/expression was often inappropriate.
Good-6-8

Student presented an average demonstration of Spanish fluency. Student stumbled over words at times and confused lines two or less times. Student had to use note cards for lines often. Student's intonation indicating an understanding of what he/she was saying.
Excellent-9-10

Student presented an average to above average performance. Student had few to no issues with fluency.
Props

Students used 0-1 props in their skit and/or props did not contribute to the performance.

Good-6-8

The student's presentation was creative and unique, however had room for improvement.
Students worked together with little or no problems, video was on time, and/or organization was lacking but acceptable.
Excellent-9-10

The student's work was very creative and unique!
Participation

Poor1-2

Did not work well within his/her group, and did not bring ideas to their group.
Fair3-5

Not all group member's participated according to the task.
Good-6-8

All group member's fully participated, however, there's room for improvement.
Excellent-9-10

All group member's fully participated and brought ideas to their group.
