Language Arts Notebook
	Poor 10 pts	Average 15 pts	Good 25 pts
Organization	Poor Notes scattered and on random pages, not in any order.	Average Notes somewhat organized. Items found with difficulty.	Good Notes are organized by date and in correct order. Items can be found easily. Each page is used consecutively.
Frequency	Poor Notes rarely taken.	Average Notes taken 3 or 4 days a week with a few assigned day missing.	Good Notes taken daily and/or whenever note taking is assigned in class.
Neatness	Poor Notes are sloppy. Hand writing is hard to read or looks like it was rushed.	Average Notes are readable, but not concise.	Good Notes are easily read and organized.
