Expression & Volume	Getting Started Boring and too quiet. Does not sound like natural speaking.	Work in progress Some expression. A little quiet.	Standard Work Good expression and volume.	Deluxe Work Excellent expression and volume. Varies expression and volume to match what is being read
Phrasing	Getting Started Frequent word-by-word reading. Breaks at wrong places or no break where there should be one.	Work in progress Choppy reading; Fails to mark ends of sentences and clauses.	Standard Work Mostly correct phrasing.	Deluxe Work Well phrased, mostly in clause and sentence units, with good expression.
Smoothness, Accuracy	Getting Started Long pauses, false starts, sound-outs, repetitions, and/or multiple attempts.
