Persuade Me! Persuade Me! Student is to write a commercial or paragraph persuading the reading to buy or try their personal care product. Persuade Me! criteria
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts
CREATIVE	Poor Student did not use ANY creative words and dialogue in writing. Very basic.	Fair Student used a few of their own creative words and dialogue in writing. Half basic, half creative	Good Student used lots of their own creative words and dialogue in writing.
FIGUATIVE LANGUAGE	Poor Student used no examples of figurative language;specifically personification, onomatopoeia, multiple meaning words, or alliteration.	Fair Student used between 1 and 2 examples of figurative language;specifically personification, onomatopoeia, multiple meaning words, or alliteration.	Good Student used more than 3 examples of figurative language;specifically personification, onomatopoeia, multiple meaning words, or alliteration.
DESCRIPTIVE	Poor Student did not use any descriptive words and details to describe product to reader.	Fair Student used very little descriptive words and details to describe product to reader.	Good Student used descriptive words and details to describe product to reader.
LEGIBILITY/SPELLING	Poor Writing is very messy and hard to read.	Fair Writing can be read but handwriting can improve. Some words hard to make out because of spelling or handwriting.	Good Writing is neatly written and words are spelled correctly or phonetically correct.
PICTURE	Poor The student did not have a picture of the product he/she advertised.	Fair The student had a picture of the same type of product, but not the exact product. AND/OR the picture was not presented on the paper in a nice & neat manner.	Good The student had a picture of the exact pr product they advertised. The picture was presented on the paper in a nice & neat manner.
