Sewing Project Rubric
	Excellent 10 pts	Good 5 pts	Poor 1 pts
Cutting	Excellent All cutting lines are straight and trimmed seams are all even	Good Cutting lines are straight and most of trimmed seams are even	Poor Cutting lines are not straight and trimmed seams are uneven
Seams	Excellent Seams are correct in width and construction.	Good Seams are wider or narrower than what are called for in some places.	Poor Seams are puckered OR they are wider than what the instructions call for OR seams are too narrow, sometimes missing the fabric.
Stitching	Excellent Stitching is even & neat. No loops or missed spots. Closure shows no raw edges.	Good Stitching mostly even, with a few loops where presser foot was raised. OR raw edges are visible at closure.	Poor Stitching has several areas where presser foot was raised AND raw edges are visible on closure.
Stuffing/Filling	Excellent Stuffed and filled very evenly.	Good Good attempt at stuffing or even filling.	Poor Project shows little to no evidence of stuffing or even filling.
Neatness/Clean	Excellent Project is clean and shows no evidence of finger prints	Good Project is clean, but shows evidence of finger prints	Poor Project looks dirty or stained and shows evidence of finger prints
Threads	Excellent All threads were trimmed during the sewing process	Good Some threads were trimmed during the sewing process	Poor Threads were not trimmed during the sewing process
Backstitching	Excellent All seams were backstitched during the construction process	Good Most seams were backstitched during the construction process	Poor Seams were not backstitched during the construction process
Time Management	Excellent Project was turned in on time or early	Good Project was turned in on time.	Poor Project was turned in late - after the due date
Clean Up	Excellent The student cleaned up room on daily basis and helped others.	Good The student only cleaned up their area when reminded.	Poor The student did not help clean up their area.
