Good Student has made an attempt to include most of the parts of the staff.	Fair Student has included some of the parts of the staff.	Poor Student has made little or no attempt to include any of the parts of the staff
Notes	Excellent Student has used only the notes of the harmonic structure provided for this composition.	Good Student has used mostly the notes of the harmonic structure provided with some errors.	Fair Student has used a variety of notes, some of which include the notes of the harmonic structure provided.	Poor Student has made no effort to use any of the notes of the harmonic structure provided.
Rhythm	Excellent Student used only rhythms that were given by instructor and used them in a varied way. There are no rhythmic errors in the composition.	Good Student used specified rhythms but had rhythmic errors in the composition.	Fair Student did not use specified rhythms or may have used them incorrectly.	Poor Student did not make an attempt to use any right rhythms in any sort of correct order.
Performance	Excellent Student plays composition to the best of their ability.	Good Student plays composition mostly to the best of their ability, more practice could result in better performance.	Fair Student plays the composition but does not show effort towards the performance.	Poor Student makes little or no attempt to play the composition.
