Fluency Reading Plan Phonics/letter comprehension Students are expected to listen to and interpret a speaker's purpose by evaluating the delivery of the presentation. Students will speak clearly using the conventions of language. Students will continue to apply earlier standards with greater complexity. Daily Grades
	Fair 70 pts	Good 85 pts	Excellent 100 pts
Group Participation	Fair Student did not participate in the practice readings with group. When listening for the keys to fluency and giving positive direction. The student read the words without feeling or cadence.	Good Student worked in a group, but would only agree with the group, never adding anything new. The Student reads the script like a book, lack of expression.	Excellent Students will work together to create a play that flows like a conversation. The student reads the script as play, with expression.
Use of Expression	Fair The student did not perform they looked down and read the part. Did not use body language volume or eye contact.	Good The student read with expression, but has trouble knowing when its their turn. Body Language was not used student just stood and read the lines.	Excellent The student read with expression and used body language to make character believable.
Peer Critics	Fair The student did not give any critique, or suggestions in the group discussion.	Good The student was able to give positive direction, but did not understand it's importance.	Excellent The student understands the job of a critic and looks for positive ways to improve the students. performance.
