Proficient = 43-46 pts.
Includes 7-9 slides. At least 3 graphics from outside sources. 2 advanced features (sound, dig-ital, photos, video, or internet link). Title slide and resources included but not the correct format.
Advanced = 47-50 pts.
Includes 10 or more slides. 4 or more graphics from outside sources. 3 or more advanced features (sound, dig-ital, photos, video, or internet link).Title and resource slide included in correct format.
Mechanics
Below Basic = 36 or less
Includes more than 5 grammatical errors, misspellings, punctuation errors, etc.
Basic = 37-42 pts.
Includes 3-4 grammatical errors, misspellings, punctuation errors, etc.
Proficient = 43-46 pts.
Include1-2 grammatical errors, misspellings, punctuation errors, etc.
Advanced = 47-50 pts.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization are correct. No errors in the text.
Oral presentation skills
Below Basic = 36 or less
Great difficulty communicating ideas. Poor voice projection. Little preparation and/or incomplete work. Presentation is 3 minutes or less.
Basic = 37-42 pts.
Some difficulty communicating ideas due to voice projection, lack of preparation, or incomplete work. Presentation is 3-4 minutes.
Proficient = 43-46 pts.
Communicates ideas with proper voice projection. Adequate preparation and delivery. Presentation is 4-5 minutes.
Advanced = 47-50 pts.
Communicates ideas with enthusiasm, proper voice pro-jection, appropriate language, and clear delivery. Maintained eye contact and audience's attention. Presentation is 5-8 minutes.
