Specific Detail	Outstanding Project has an abundance of specific detail from the book read.	Acceptable Project has specific detail from the book read but some detail may be general.	Needs Work Project lacks specific detail from the book read but may include general detail.	Unacceptable Project has little or no detail from the book read.
Comprehension	Outstanding Project demonstrates thorough and thoughtful understanding of the book read.	Acceptable Project demonstrates basic understanding of the book read.	Needs Work Project may not demonstrate clear understanding of the book read.	Unacceptable Project demonstrates little understanding of the book read.
Reading Logs	Outstanding All weekly reading logs are handed in on time, complete and contain thoughtful comments. All reading logs have a parent signature.	Acceptable All weekly reading logs are handed in on time, complete and contain relevant comments. Most reading logs have a parent signature (1 or 2 missing)	Needs Work One or two reading logs may be missing or incomplete. Several (more than 2) reading logs do not have a parent signature.
