Sustainable Horticulture PowerPoint Presentation Rubric PowerPoint Presentation Rubric This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met. Content	Excellent All required slides included with correct information.<BR> Topic is discussed clearly and in an organized manner.	Good All required slides with relevant information.<BR> Topic is somewhat discussed but more information is required.	Fair Missing some slides or relevant information.<BR> Topic is slightly discussed but more material is needed.	Poor Many slides missing or slides do not contain relevant information.<BR> Topic is addressed but not discussed or elaborated on.
Presentation/Graphics	Excellent Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation.	Good Slides are attractive. Text is easy to read. Some slides use graphics and effects to enhance presentation.	Fair Slides are easy to read. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space. Few slides have graphics or effects.	Poor The slides are difficult to read. There is little use of graphics or effects.
Grammar and Mechanics	Excellent Capitalization and punctuation are correct throughout the presentation. There are no grammatical errors.	Good There are a few grammatical errors.	Fair There are 4 to 6 grammatical errors.	Poor There are more than 6 grammatical errors.
Voice	Excellent Speaker presents in a clear voice, with emphasis. S/he makes eye contact with the audience, and doesn't read from screen.	Good Speaking voice is fairly clear, with some emphasis. Some eye contact with audience. Some reading from screen.	Fair Speakers presents in an unclear voice, or with little emphasis, or constantly reads from the screen.	Poor Speaker does not present in a clear voice, speaks with no emphasis, and reads simply from the presentation.
Use of Time	Excellent Used allotted time well.Completed the project on time.	Good Project was completed 1 day late.	Fair Project was 2-3 days late	Poor Project was not turned in but, started.
