Science Poster Grading Scale
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Content 4 pts	Poor Explanations are lacking. Content is inaccurate.	Fair Explanations are poor. Content is accurate but lacks support. Lacking Text.	Good Explanations are adequate. Content is accurate and well-supported. Text is used.	Excellent Concepts fully and properly explained. Content is accurate, comprehensive, and well-supported. Text is used extensively.
Graphics 4 pts	Poor Graphics are confusing or needed graphics are absent.	Fair Graphics are confusing or not in support of the content and explanations.	Good Easily understood graphics, but they may not clearly support the content/ explanations.	Excellent Easily understood graphics which clearly support the content and explanations. Words are clearly and neatly lettered.
Organization 4 pts	Poor Cluttered, no defined sections, missing headings and/or parts, hard to follow.	Fair No headings for sections, hard to follow, missing parts.	Good All material present, defined sections, but parts may be unclear.	Excellent Defined sections, clear headings, flows nicely to assist the reader without help.
Presentation 4 pts	Poor Does not hold attention of viewer. Lacks effort /confidence.	Fair Does not hold attention of viewer. Demonstrates some effort/confidence.	Good May somewhat engage viewers. May lack visual appeal. Demonstrates good effort/and or confidence.	Excellent Interesting, engaging, and visually appealing. Clearly a finished product. Demonstrates superior effort and confidence.
3D Model 4 pts	Poor Has not exhibited a 3D model or one with no thought to achieve.	Fair The model appears to be rushed and little care given to detail.	Good Some care given to presenting a model that shows learning. Appearance is neat but lacking special qualities.	Excellent An excellent depiction of the required learning. The model shows great care has been given to produce something highly representational.
