Syllables	Below Level Student did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	On Level Student had some lines correct, but the entire poem did not have the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Above Level Student's poem had the most of the syllable pattern 5-7-5.	Enter Title Student's poem had all of the syllable patterns correct. 5-7-5
Spelling	Below Level Student had more than 5 spelling mistakes	On Level Student had between 3-5 spelling mistakes	Above Level Student had between 1- 3 spelling mistakes	Enter Title Student had no misspelt words
Descriptive language and imagery	Below Level No use of descriptive language to create imagery	On Level Student used limited descriptive language and had difficulty creating imagery	Above Level Student used good descriptive language to create imagery	Enter Title Student used outstanding descriptive language to create powerful imagery
