Spanish Class Participation Grade Criteria 
Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be evaluated. All students are expected to participate in class especially in the target language! Students should understand that their participation mark begins at 0 and then is built up through active participation.

Student usually presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, and their teacher. A little complaining, usually willing to try.
Fair

FAIR<BR>
Student sometimes presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, and their teacher. Much complaining and balking at new assignments or tasks.
Poor

POOR<BR>
Student rarely presents a positive attitude towards the class, their fellow students, or their teacher.
Refusal to comply; complains at everything.
Behavior

EXCELLENT<BR>
Student always behaves appropriately with other students and teacher, both inside and outside the classroom. Student exhibits excellent self control at all times.
Good

GOOD<BR>
Student usually behaves appropriately with other students and teacher, both inside and outside the classroom. Exhibits acceptable self control (physical and verbal) most of the time.
Fair

FAIR<BR>
Student sometimes behave appropriately with other students and teacher, both inside and outside the classroom. Struggles to control self either physically or verbally.

Student does not behave appropriately with other students and teacher, whether inside or outside the classroom. Exhibits little or no physical and/or verbal self-control
