The students were given vocabulary words from the story and are being tested on these words for comprehension purposes. Spelling	Good Student spelled all words correctly.	Fair Student made 2-3 spelling errors.	Poor Student made 4 or more spelling errors.
Definition	Good Student matches all definitions correctly.	Fair Student matches 7-9 definitions correctly.	Poor Student matches 6 or less definitions correctly.
Sentence correction	Good Student uses all vocabulary words correctly in a sentence.	Fair Student uses 7-9 vocabulary words correctly in a sentence.	Poor Student uses 6 or less vocabulary words correctly in a sentence.
Comprehension	Good Student shows understanding of each word.	Fair Student shows understanding of at least 7-9 words.	Poor Student shows understanding of 6 or less words.
