Understands concept Recognizes the parts of a whole and names the parts in relation to the whole.	Poor The student makes no conection to the parts in an object and its' relationship to the whole. The student is unable to name any fractional part of a whole.	Fair The student makes some connection to the parts in an object and its' relationship to the whole. The student is able to name the fraction 1/2.	Good The student understands the parts in an object are related to the whole object. The student is able to name fractions including 1/2, 1/4, 1/3, and apply the knowledge to other fractions.
Idenify and write fractions The student can recognize, represent and write the fractions	Poor The student is unable to identify, write and represent fractions correctly.	Fair The student is able to identify ,write and represent 3 out of 5 fractions correctly.	Good The student is able to identify ,write and represent 5 out of 5 fractions correctly.
